Hiring a mobile mulch coloring company is a convenient service that comes to your location to grind and color tree chips or other ground up wood waste such as pallets. Our RotoChopper cp118 can consume up to 900 gallons of water while coloring up to 60 yards of beautifully colored mulch. When double grinding bark and other natural mulch our machine can produce up to 80 yards an hour depending on screen size. The grinder can be operated by one person but more hands is recommended especially for mobile service as the property may not be setup for maximum efficiency.
Most often we run either a 2” or 3” screen for our final coloring process which gives your freshly colored mulch a consistently uniform size. However your material may require a different screen depending on chip size and what size material you desire as a finish mulch product. Our mulch screen sizes can range from typically 1.5”-4” again depending on customer needs.

Animal bedding is another product we can produce when mobile grinding. Farmers looking to make there own animal bedding and save a few bucks can gather wood chips or other wood waste and have us come out a few times a year and grind animal bedding to about a 3/4” product size again this depends on what the customer is looking for and wood waste their using.
When making animal bedding it’s best to use fresh wood chips or ground pallets due to moisture content in the wood waste. Wet and aged wood waste grinds harder and tends to clump up the screen especially when grinding material at smaller sizes. This slows down grinding and lowers productivity.
