Hardwood Wood Chips are a great type of long lasting mulch that can be used for anything from mulch in flowerbeds to decorative walking paths or even animal bedding. Wood Chips are also popular for being used in playgrounds. Our Wood Chips are certified by the DNR to be playground safe.
Hardwood Wood Chips are available for nearby deliveries as well as convenient 7 day a week pickup at our Yard.

Fresh hardwood chips have that great sawmill oak-like smell and longevity of being a hardwood mulch. Hardwood Chips have a light tan color when fresh but over summer color will begin to fade and the following season your oak chip mulch will grey. Our wood chips have no fines or dust unlike mulch which helps to further slow down your chip mulch from breaking down and ensuring you get a clean uniform chip. Wood chips used as mulch are typically installed 3” deep to aid in moisture retention and weed suppression but for walking paths and playgrounds can be 9″.
